Dinas Seni Budaya dan Pariwisata (Disbudpar) Kabupaten Bulukumba menggelar Pentas Seni Budaya Daerah 2010. Kegiatan budaya ini dipusatkan di kawasan Wisata Tanjung Bira selama 7 bulan berturut-turut yang dimulai hari ini Sabtu 19 Juni hingga Desember mendatang.

Kepala Disbudpar, Dra. A. Bahagia, mengatakan, kegiatan budaya ini dilaksanakan secara kolosal dan memuat materi berbagai lomba berupa permainan tradisional dan kesenian daerah Bulukumba yang sudah agak langka. Beberapa di antaranya seperti mangngasing, mallongga' (enggrang), basing-basing (pantun kematian suku Kajang yang diiringi seruling) dan Suara pabbuntingang.


Peserta Pentas Seni Budaya Daerah Bulukumba 2010 terbuka untuk para pelajar mulai tingkat SD, SMP, SMA, perguruan tinggi dan umum. Pendaftaran secara gratis.

Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi even yang mampu mengakrabkan kembali generasi muda utamanya pelajar dan mahasiswa dengan seni budaya daerah yang kini kian tergerus oleh perkembangan zaman dan teknologi. Saat ini Bulukumba menyimpan begitu banyak kekayaan seni budaya daerah yang patut untuk dilestarikan tapi justru belum dikenal oleh dunia luar.
